Just woke up

So, I woke up, like... 800 years ago? Eh, something like that. It was a little before the Black Plauge, but I had no idea what or who I was, all I knew was that I was hungry, reaaally hungry. And on instinct I eventually ended up in a village, first person I found, I fucking started to eat. Someone saw it, and called out "Vrykolakas", so, that's the first name I remember and that's why I call myself that now adays. Anyway, I fled, but the hunger was still there, just lessened. So, surviving on instinct I hunted and fed, ran away and lived another day. Now I believe I woke up around Greece in the 1200's.

Feral

Fuck man, I spent years upon years the same way, instinct and hunger. I was a monster. I can't even count how many I ate, most of the time I was satisfied with the liver and flesh, but I ate most I could. Then, ran away to hide and hunt another day. I think, I ate children even. I had no control of myself, but I remembering seeing things like a veil over my mind. But sometimes, like, once in a 100 I could control myself, avoiding to eat a child for example. But it took allot of power. To this day, I feel anger when thinking of this time.

Wandering

Some time during the black plague I managed to control myself a little, I managed to hide in amongst people, masquerading as a plague victim. There was a surplus of food though, all these dead people. It was easy to live off the dead. Since I had no problems with disease or the like. After the plague, I began to get full control and could supress my instincts and hunger. During my many years alive I picked up some languages, just enough to be able to be understood. But it was still hard to collect the history of what was going on, I understood that there were kingdoms and that the plague affected most of the landmass I wandered on. I ended up wandering around Europe, the African continent and even made it to Asia. I mostly kept to myself and hid in the woods or mountains. When in town, I just hid my appearance and tried to fit in. I met other supernatural beings, some were friendly, other were hostile and didn't like another monster on their territory. I had to fight allot of creatures, it was around here I discovered my powers. I could rip things apart, and even the hardest claws couldn't pierce my flesh. Mostly, I just wandered, eventually I travelled through the empty space of Russia, or so I believed afterwards. It was pure pain, so few people to eat. And animals only helped sate the hunger, but never make me full. At some point, a hundred or more years later I ended up in Sweden, it was here I stopped travelling.

A life

My life changed, in the little village of "Stenby", around the 1500's, I found myself not wanting to wander. So, I stayed close to the village, feeding on their buried dead. Until one day, when a massive, huuuge fucking werewolf assaulted the village. I don't know why, but I felt I needed to stop it. Let me fucking tell you a thing, Werewolves are annoyingly hard to kill. They heal any damage and their claws shred through anything. Including my tough hide. But, after an hour of combat, I managed to rip off their head. The body returned to it's human form. A lost member of their village it appeared. So, I was about to run off from the village, since they saw I wasn't human. Instead, the villagers celebrated me and with the limited Swedish I had picked up, understood that they didn't care what I was, instead they offered me a place in their village. After some time, I made them understand of my special needs, they were very open minded and told me that they could offer some of their dead for my continued existence. It was also there.. I encountered a widow named Anna, she.. Didn't flinch when she saw me, she smiled. And her little girl Ebba, she was friendly and nice. After some time, she took me into her home. And after some time we became.. Involved. It was this I noticed I still could eat normal food and enjoy, the closeness of someone else. Years went on, the village now finding me their guardian, I had fought off bandits, monsters and other things that crept in the night. But, there were other villages that heard rumors of me and my deeds. They sent people to investigate. Eventually the closest large village had heard word of my existence. They came for me. But, the villagers defended me and explained how I had saved them, again and again. After some 'friendly' discussions the others left me alone. My daughter, by this point I had taken the place of her father, grew up and my wife, she grew old and there I was, the same as I always had been. When Anna died, I was crushed. But, I still had Ebba, who I took care off and tried to teach to the best of my ability, survival skills mostly, but also some languages. Eventually, she died as well. But she left two children, who also founded families.. I decided to leave, but I promised to return every now and then to check on my family.

And then..

London, ah, the shithole of shitholes. Man, I can't tell you have bad it was in the 1700's, with the industrial revolution and everything. But, I could fit in, hidden behind sunglasses, or something a kin. It was here I was introduced to a Supernatural community that lived among the humans and civilisation. Vampires.. Man, vampires are assholes. They controlled most of London and after a couple of years I was discovered walking around, feeding. They believed I was another Vampire, so they circled me in a back alley and required me to leave or they'd kill me. Let's just say, killing them was easy. They weren't fucking werewolves. I left a message to the rest "leave me the fuck alone". Not with fuck mind you, but, close enough. For the first couple of years, I was hunted by Vampires, despite me sending them back in piles of ash. I think I killed like 30 vampires through the years. Good training. And then... The hunters began to hunt. These fuckers used holy magic and specialized tools to kill supernaturals. But it wasn't just me that were hunted, but.. The fucking Vampires kind of pushed them my way and my territory. I ran and hid more then any other time in my life. These fuckers were only humans though, so once I could ambush them it was fine. Eventually, there became a standstill. I had my territory, a few blocks and also parts of the industrial areas. The Vamps had the innercity and the harbour. The hunters kept to their churches and other safehouses. There were a ton of conflicts still mind you, but mostly each kept to themselves. I stuck around until the 1900's, lived an ok life, I was a power in the supernatural community. Even opened my door to those creatures that were hunted. It was good.

Then, the great wars came. Trust me, living through it was a blast! I was at Flanders and back in London during the Blitz. It was a hell of a time. I eventually found myself in the rest of Europe during the second world war. I hunted on the dead and dying. It was good. But, when the wars were over, I once again settled in London and lived there until 2000. That's when I travelled to the States. I needed a new life.

And here I am.

Notes

I am undead, but I don't smell dead. I can do most things a human can, eat food, drink and even fuck (no ammo though).

I love coffee and I am usually in Pocket D, scrolling on my phone and drinking coffee

I work for a Merc firm out of Port Oakes, Jonson & Johnson. Pretty big firm actually, got clients all over the Etoile and even in Paragon (under the radar of course).

I do have some Rep in the Isles for my work and the contracts I've taken on both Capes and Cowls.
