HISTORY
Caitlin Turner was a normal college student, studying art and history at Paragon University and interning at the City Museum of Art. She never expected anything to happen out of the ordinary until the day the Circle of Thorns attacked the museum. Cait was working in the art restoration department when she heard the commotion. As she rushed to the main exhibit hall, she saw that the Circle had summoned a portal, unleashing a horde of demons upon the helpless people trapped inside.
Without hesitation, Cait threw herself into the fray, using her knowledge of the museum's exhibits to fight back against the demons. She managed to save a group of innocent people, but as she was about to be struck down by a powerful demon, a beautiful goddess appeared before her. The goddess told Cait that she was worthy of the power of the Valkyron, a god-like race of female warriors. A pair of mystical bracers flew from one of the exhibit collections to her body, where they latched onto her wrists, empowering her with incredible strength and agility. In a flash of light, Cait's fatal wounds were healed, and she was transformed by the goddess's power into a divine and muscular warrior. She turned to face the demons, throwing devastating punches and crushing blows that made short work of her foes.
After the battle was won, Cait decided to embrace her new powers and become a hero in her own right. She adopted the name Icon, the newly crowned champion of valor. With her new abilities and an insatiable hunger for knowledge, Icon joined the heroes of Paragon City in the fight against evil, determined to learn more about the mysterious source of her powers and use them to protect those in need.
